Design wall Monday

Hmmmm. I made one of those quilts where you put together a bunch of 2.5 inch strips.  Most people use a coordinated jelly roll.  I pulled almost all the red, white and blue strips I had in my 2.5 inch scrap drawer, thinking that would look coordinated. So far I am not a fan.  At least it gives me a good platform for practicing feathers!

Go to Patchwork Times and see what others have hung on their design walls.

  1. I like it.... not bad at all! I like the shorter strips... and it's a great way to reduce accumulating strips! Not to mention giving you quilting practice...

  2. I like it too! I've made one of these and need to do another one-I'm accumulating too many strips-it's ridiculous.
It's a good idea to practice feathers (or any new motif) on a busy top!

  3. I like it too! and I like the shorter strips! I've done it with the longer strips and I didn't particularly like the look (ie. from a Jelly roll). I like this much better!
