2012 UFO LIST

Oh my gosh. I can't believe it has been twelve months since I published my last UFO list.

I was pretty successful with my UFOs during 2011. I didn't complete the entire list but I managed to get eight UFOs done that I am sure would still be languishing in my closet had Judy not challenged us to face up to the horrors that lie undisturbed in the dark recesses of our sewing rooms. Sadly, I only have photos of 7.

Here is my new list. I will update in a day or so with photos but I wanted to get this post in under the deadline. Not that I would ever be accused of procrastinating or anything.....

In no particular order:
1. Audrey's quilt  (Yup, a repeat from last year's list)
2. The Christmas "gift" quilt
3. The medallion quilt that was part of a round robin
4. The not-quite-a-circle quilt
5. The Caryl Fallert quilt
6. The mini reproduction quilt
7. The mess of blue and yellow strings
8. The purple and green thing.
9. Orca Bay
10. Bug jar
11. Mark Lipinski quilt (second year on the list)
12. Peach and grey quilt (another two-time loser, I think I may make arm covers for a chair and donate the additional blocks to some orphan block person).

There you have it - my shame goals for everyone to read.

Santa Came Early! SSS Announcement

My SSS partner is the BEST!!  No one can claim that honor ever again.
Today started out kind of crummy: I woke up with a cold and I still had to go to work.  The office was cold (Monday, ya know) and the dog spent the entire morning under a quilt next to my chair.  I wanted to be there with her = O  .

There was a slight commotion when the Fed Ex guy left a package.  IT WAS FOR ME! and it wasn't anything that I had ordered.

 It was so cutely wrapped.  Don't you love that fringe she used?

When I opened it, it was stuffed with treasures.

 Even the stocking was full!

 She really read my profile. There's a Santa candle holder, a sweet carved-stone covered-box, a Christmas story book, and an angel.  Too too sweet!

But there was more.

A bunch of fat quarters and a charm pack.  I can't wait to get these under my sewing machine.

She also included the cutest Christmas cocktail napkins and spreaders, a book by one of my favorite authors and an iTunes gift certificate. 

STILL MORE!

HOMEMADE COOKIES!!!  The bags were tied with the cleverest ribbon.  See it at the bottom:  It looks like Santa's belt and belt buckles.  The cookies are delicious.  You KNOW I had to open them and sample a few (maybe more).  I think I remember reading that you should feed a cold.  Right?

My SSS swap partner took very good care of me.  She fed my soul, my mind, and my tummy.
Today ended up being a very good day after all.  Thanks!
