I love...I think this is definitely worth finishing. I love the dark orange logs that form the small squares. My only critical comment is that the upper right square should match the other corner squares - it is just too distracting for me to gaze at this interesting composition with that one asymmetry. My guess is that you do have a block to match. Hope that helps! I really like it overall.
